Dr Liuqin Chen, Ph.D., Associate Professor, supervisor of masters, visiting scholar of The University of Texas at Austin, Young Jinggang Scholar of Jiangxi Province, member of the Red Beds and Danxia Working Group of the Geographical Society of China, member of Geotourism Committee of the Geological Society of Jiangxi Province. In 2011, he graduated from China University of Geosciences (Beijing). He was funded by two National Natural foundation of China and five other projects. He gives courses on "General Geology", "Sedimentary Petrology", and "Integrated Practice of Geology and Geomorphology". His research interests include sedimentary environment of Red Beds and formation processes of Danxia landforms in South China. He published more than 30 papers and won the first prize of the Danxiashan Undergraduate Students Practice Course Design Competition. He is in close cooperation with the Danxiashan Administrative Committee of Guangdong Province, and published "Geoscience Practice Course of Danxiashan" as the Editor-in-Chief in 2019. He was invited to give talks of scientific communication on Danxia Landscape for four times.
